“On Friday, June 26, Omek brings its Bicultural Summit 2026 — The Power Within — to CRCL Park in Amsterdam. Dutch New Narrative Lab warmly recommends this gathering to founders, professionals, creatives, investors, policymakers and allies who care about inclusive entrepreneurship, bicultural leadership and the future of work.
The Summit brings together 500+ bicultural professionals, leaders, founders, creatives and allies for a full day of talks, workshops, peer circles, a career fair, an awards ceremony and meaningful connection. It is built around agency, clarity and opportunity — exactly the kind of space that is needed in a time where questions of identity, access, technology, belonging and economic participation are becoming more urgent, not less.
“For DNNL, this is more than an event recommendation. It is a natural extension of the same movement we are building: changing who is seen as innovative, who gets access to networks, who receives capital, and whose lived experience is recognised as a source of leadership.” - Ruben Brave, DNNL founder

"Why we recommend OMEK"
Omek is a community-driven platform for bicultural professionals of African descent — and beyond. Through events, programmes and partnerships, Omek connects its members to resources, tools, opportunities and a global network that supports both professional and personal growth. That mission strongly resonates with DNNL’s work around inclusive entrepreneurship, new narratives, access to capital, representation and ecosystem building. Omek’s language of bicultural identity — the conscious awareness of belonging to more than one cultural world — speaks directly to what many founders and professionals in our network navigate every day: not as a deficit, but as a source of cultural fluency, creativity, resilience and leadership.
About Kemo Camara
Omek was founded by Kemo Camara, a social entrepreneur, community builder and diaspora expert whose work has long focused on unlocking the potential of bicultural talent. Kemo has lived and worked across Africa, the United States and Europe, and has built Omek from a deeply personal and practical insight: many bicultural professionals are full of ambition, talent and experience, but often lack the spaces, networks and language to turn that into collective power.
Earlier this year, Kemo joined our DNNL unConference 2026: I Have A Dream 2.0 in Amsterdam as one of the speakers. His contribution connected beautifully to the core of that day: inclusive entrepreneurship, economic justice, access to opportunity and the need to build communities that do not merely inspire people, but help them move forward. In earlier DNNL wording, we described him as an entrepreneur and maker focused on inclusive technology and the creative economy — someone whose work connects technology, community and social impact, and who invites us to imagine future-oriented solutions for economic equality and collective innovation. That is also why the Omek Summit matters. Kemo does not treat community as a buzzword. He treats it as infrastructure: something that helps people recognise their own value, find each other, build trust and translate identity into leadership.
Why attend
Attend the Omek Bicultural Summit if you are looking for more than networking. Attend if you want to be in a room where bicultural identity is not explained away, but understood as a source of power. Attend if you are building a company, a career, a community, a policy agenda or a creative practice that needs deeper language, stronger relationships and more courageous imagination.
For bicultural founders and professionals, the Summit is a place to meet peers, mentors, employers, partners and allies. For organisations, it is a chance to understand the future of talent, leadership and inclusion from the people who are already shaping it. For the DNNL community, it is simply a room worth being in.
